Keqian Nan
AcoustoFab
Keqian is a Senior Application Scientist at AcoustoFab, working on the development and commercialisation of Alchema, the company’s acoustic levitation technology platform for life science and pharmaceutical applications. He focuses on application development, technology validation and identifying new use cases, working with industry and academic partners to translate the technology into practical applications. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Science and has a strong background in biotechnology and translational research, with experience spanning drug discovery, clinical studies, technology commercialisation and strategic partnerships.
Dr. William Sharratt
University of Liverpool
Dr William Sharratt Joined the University of Liverpool as a lecturer in the school of engineering, where he leads a research programme in soft materials within the department of Materials, Design & Manufacturing Engineering. His work is driven by societal and industrial challenges, with a focus on the fundamental science and molecular engineering underpinning the design, formation and processing of polymers into new functional and sustainable materials. Will's group unlocks new avenues for research using the Alchema device, with unprecedented spatial and dynamic control over levitated droplets, it has opened new ways to understand and measure soft materials and both solid and liquid forms.
